PLAYERS CODE OF ETHICS
The following are ethics established by the Warrior Little League/Town Team board to serve as guidance for PLAYERS to follow during the course of the season in order align with the mission of the Little League/Town Team programs.
Mission:
The vision of the Warrior LL/TT is to focus on individual growth of skills by promoting teamwork and pride to ultimately empower each athlete. In turn, we create a family culture of sustainable growth for the program.
TEAMWORK
-
When I’m in the dugout, I will pay attention to the game and cheer on my teammates.
-
At the end of practice and games, all of us will do our part to help clean up and put things away.
-
When I see a teammate getting frustrated, I know I will help them stay positive and focus on the game.
-
I know teamwork means communicating. I will always be talking about the game in order to be ready for the next pitch.
-
Being a good teammate means being a good listener. If my coach or teammates have some advice, I know I can listen to them and try to get better.
SPORTSMANSHIP
-
I will use words that are positive and supportive to my teammates AND the other team.
-
I understand that sometimes I’m going to make mistakes because I’m still learning. Throwing something or hitting something because I make a mistake is not ok.
-
At the end of the game, I know it’s important to always shake every player and coach’s hand.
